11 Week Spring Session January 13- April 10
Hi everyone, once again Commodore Tennis must share courts and time with the Varsity Tennis teams, so that means both a shorter schedule (11 weeks) and no 90 minute sessions this semester. We will resume with a longer schedule next semester and we will also offer summer a summer program in the month of June!
Commodore Tennis Names New Director of Junior Development
We are so excited to announce John Forster as the new Director of Junior Development for Commodore Tennis! John will be running our new tennis curriculum that that we have designed for students using the Red, Orange, Green and Yellow ball system while making it fun for kids of all ages!
We will be using a 3 tier progression for each level, incentivizing students to work hard to make those leaps! Students must master certain skills to navigate levels, and reach the goals we set at the beginning of a session. We will use friendly competition to motivate students and to help them learn fundamentals, technique, and ultimately, winning strategies! This is a winning formula that will work for all levels!

Tennis Future Champs and High Performance (3rd grade & up only)
Future Champs program is designed for students who wish to dedicate themselves to improving their tennis, with the goal of tournament participation at the local and state levels. Each day will be composed of stroke and technique development, strategy, live ball drills, matchplay, and some fitness and breath control exercises. The goal is to prepare each student for tournament play, and graduation into the high-performance program.
Spring Session - Starting January 13 - April 10, 2024
LOWER SCHOOL STUDENTS WILL PLAY FROM 3:00pm - 4:00pm (Wednesdays will be 2:00-3:00 to align with early dismissal).
MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS WILL PLAY FROM 3:15-4:15 pm (Wednesdays will be 2:15-3:15 to align with early dismissal).
